Parliament of India:

The Parliament of India (or Sansad):  is the federal  and supreme legislative body of India.It consists of two houses – the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. It is located in New Delhi at Sansad Marg.

 

Rashtrapati Bhavan :
 Rashtrapati Bhavan (Sanskrit for President House / Presidential Palace) is the official residence of the President of  India, located in New Delhi. Until 1950  it was known as "Viceroys House" and served as the residence of the Governor –General of India.. After Indian independence in  1947, the now ceremonial governor-general continued to live there, being succeeded by the president in 1950  when India became a republic and the house was renamed "Rashtrapati Bhavan."

 

Teen Murti Bhavan:
The Teen Murti Bhavan  housed the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was designed by Robert Tor Russel, the architect of Connaught Place and of the Eastern and Western Courts on Janpath. The Bhavan was originally known as Flagstaff House and was the residence of the Commander-in-Chief of the British Forces in India. However, after Independence (1947) the house was taken over as the residence of the Prime Minister. On Nehrus death, the house was converted into a national memorial comprising a library and a museum. The library is one of the finest ones for information on modern Indian history. The house gets its name from the Teen Murti ("three statues"). Memorial, which stands on the road junction in front of its extensive grounds. The memorial was built in memory of the Indian soldiers who perished in World War I.

 

Qutub Minar:
 Qutub Minar  is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture and also listed in UNESCO world heritage site . The Qutub Minar is 72.5 metres high and diameter of the base is 14.3 metres wide while the top floor measures 2.75 metres in diameter. Inspired by the Minaret of Jam in  Afghanistan and wishing to surpass it,Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced construction of the Qutub Minar in 1193; but could only complete its basement. His successor,Iiutmish, added three more stories and, in 1368, Firuz Shah Tughluq constructed the fifth and the last story. The development of architectural styles from Aibak to Tuglak are quite evident in the minaret.

 

Jama Masjid :

Jama Masjid of Delhi is the principal mosque of Old Delhi, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656  AD. It is one of the largest and best known mosques in India..

 

India Gate:
India Gate is  Situated on the Rajpath in New Delhi, India Gate (originally called the All India War Memorial) is a monument built by Edwin Lutyens to commemorate the Indian solidiers who died in the World War I and the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls Burning under it since 1971 is the Amar Jawan Jyoti (The flame of the immortal warrior), which marks the unknown Solider’s Tomb..

 

Humayuns tomb:
 
 Humayuns tomb is a complex of buildings of Mughal architecture located in Nizamuddin east, New Delhi. In time of Slave Dynasty this land was under the KiloKheri. It encompasses the main tomb of the Emperor Humayun as well as numerous others.

 

Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport:
 Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is located in the city of New Delhi is one of Indias main domestic and international gateways. The airport has been named after former prime mnister Indira Gandhi.
The Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS),

The Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS), or Delhi Metro, is a rapid trasit system in the Indian National Capital Territory of Delhi  operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation  that was formed on March 5,1995 to build and operate the Delhi MRTS. The Delhi Metro was opened on December 24, 2002.  It became the second underground rapid transit system in India, after the one in operation in Kolkata.
